Nursing - Emergency Department
Full-time
72 hours bi-weekly
7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Includes every 3rd weekend and 2 holidays per year

The ED Staff Nurse, under general direction and in accordance with hospital standards and policies, will be responsible for coordinating and evaluating the nursing care for an assigned number of acute care patients; perform a variety of professional nursing duties, do related work, as required, and supervise members of the unit team.
Supervisory ability, good judgment, innovation, discretion, effective verbal ability, clerical perception, comfortable being assertive, interested and active in own growth, and willing to explore own behavior are all essential.
Must be physically able to perform all activities listed on generic and/or special unit credentialing inventory and as indicated in job description.
Practices in regard to accepted Standards of Practice and Ethics.
Must be flexible enough to adjust to staffing changes dictated by patient care requirements.
Requirements:
Must hold current RN license from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
Able to provide nursing care requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of the biological, physical, behavioral, social and nursing science.
Will continue to maintain competency by completing a minimum of 24 hours of Continuing Education Credit (CNE) courses within each two year period, corresponding to license renewal.
Two pediatric related CEUs are required per RN license renewal period.
