Production Artist / Graphic Designer

The Production Artist creates designs/layouts for production labels, literature, packaging and other brand development materials.
Must be able to take art from concept to completion.
Digital photography, video and web skills are a plus, but not required.
Have a positive, can-do attitude when working with clients and on projects.
This is a full-time position which will support our marketing department, reporting directly to the director of marketing.
It is based at our facility in Perrysburg, Ohio.

Job Responsibilities:
Produce a range of production-related design solutions (i.
e.
logos, labels, hot stamp plates, screen printing, literature, packaging, line art)
Customize standard artwork for private label customers to ensure proper implementation.
Collaborate with team members and pitch creative ideas to enhance marketing projects.
Take on special design tasks to support multiple projects.
Maintain customer files, approvals, artwork, original requests, and all pertinent information.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Must have working knowledge of Mac and PC platforms for Adobe Creative Suite, and strong experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
Basic skills in Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Good understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts)
Good written and verbal communication skills including talking to customers and sales representatives are required.

The role requires a creative individual with an eye for visual detail and problem-solving aptitude.
Required Education and/or Experience:
Up to three years of experience working with Adobe Creative Suite.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field from a four-year college or university is preferred; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to Director of Marketing
Works in a team environment with other designers and production staff.
Also has frequent interaction with Marketing and Production leaders.
Working Conditions:
Must work in both office and plant floor environment.
Sit for long durations of time.
Work at a computer and keyboard for the majority of work time.
Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift.
Must be able to occasionally lift materials up to 55 pounds, waist level.
