Summary
Coordinate the individual peer-tutoring activities for TRIO Student Support Services.
Individual will assist in the hiring and training of undergraduate and graduate peer tutoring staff.
Essential Functions
Supervises the tutor recruitment activities (Campus Updates; department contact, etc.
, interview and hire)
Ensures there are sufficient numbers of tutors in various subject areas to meet demands of program participants
Supervises the tutor-pairing activities of Graduate Assistant and all activities and updates related to the tutor database
Oversees the professional development of tutoring staff, schedules trainings and modules in TRIO Peer Tutor Canvas Shell
Oversees and conduct Academic support workshops for TRIO Participants
Oversees assessment of the tutoring program in Qualtrics
Posts position openings into Student Employment portal as needed
Acts as liaison between tutoring staff and SSS full-time staff and leadership
Supervises and coaches peer tutoring team in-person and online
Assists support staff in the proper hiring and pay of tutoring staff
Minimum Qualifications
The following Degree is required:
Master’s degree required.
Degree must be conferred at the time of application.
The following Degree is preferred:
Master’s degree in Education, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Business, Mathematics or related to training
The following Experience is required:
1 year of supervision or training experience
1 year of teaching or tutoring experience
