DESCRIPTION:
The primary duty of the Ambulette driver is to deliver clients to the identified destination in a safe and professional manner.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A valid driver's license is required.
Drivers must be at least 21 years of age.
We take under consideration drivers that are 20 years of age if their motor vehicle records are clear.
Drivers must have had a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years
Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.
Individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to manage the transport.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s needs to safely transfer the patient to the provider and return to the facility.
This position is classified “at risk” for possible occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens (HBV, HIV, etc).
Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school education or high school equivalent diploma is preferred for this position
Previous experience preferred
May be required to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, overtime to meet facility needs.
Must provide annual verification of a negative TB test
Practice good hygiene and follow dress code
Mental Involvement:
The ability to utilize language skills to comprehend spoken and written words effectively.
Adaptable to multiple and changing priorities and frequent interruptions.
Able to maintain composure and to interact positively with residents, family members, staff, visitors and government representatives.
Ability to function independently.
