RiverFront Studios is seeking a part-time friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist.
This role plays a vital part in creating a positive and welcoming environment for students, parents, and visitors.
The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for greeting students, handling administrative tasks, answering phones, ensuring the safety and well-being of students, and providing exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for the arts.
Responsibilities:
* Greet and welcome students, parents, and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
* Make sure new students are registered in the studio database and all necessary information is collected
* Efficiently handle incoming calls, providing accurate information, and directing calls to the appropriate staff members.
* Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and waiting room, ensuring a professional and inviting atmosphere.
* Monitor and ensure the safety of students during drop-off and pick-up times, coordinating with parents and instructors as needed.
* Engage in friendly conversations with students and parents, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere within the studio.
* Assist with scheduling and managing student appointments, lessons, and other activities.
* Respond to inquiries from students and parents regarding classes, tuition fees, scheduling conflicts, and general information about the studio.
* Maintain student attendance records, updating and tracking student progress as needed.
* Coordinate with instructors and staff to ensure effective communication and smooth operations within the school.
* Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed each week.
* Collaborate with the management team to implement and improve front desk procedures and policies.
* Stay up-to-date with studio events, performances, and promotions, effectively promoting them to students and parents.
* Handle and resolve student and parent concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues as necessary.
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent, or currently in high school.
* Previous experience in customer service, reception, or administrative roles is preferred.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
* Strong interpersonal skills, displaying a friendly and welcoming demeanor at all times.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of basic office software and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and efficiently manage administrative tasks.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
* Some basic art skills, like tracing, are desirable to help with preparation of art classes
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.
00 - $15.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
Schedule:
* 4 hour shift
* Monday to Friday
* Weekends as needed
