Purpose: The Culinary Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Cherry Streets Opportunity Bridge program.
Which includes culinary classes, catering services and management of the food truck.
All staff members at Cherry Street perform their job duties in the context of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
It is our express purpose to minister to individuals (I.

,staff, volunteers, donors, guests) through the practical discipleship steps of eliminating poverties of spirit, soul, and body.
Essential Functions: Manage the daily workflow for Opportunity Bridge Collaborate with VP of WFD to adhere to budgetary expectations Provide orientation, training, coaching, and addressing needs of students.
Developing marketing strategies to promote Opportunity Bridges’s brand and increase customer traffic Assist in awareness and application of grant funding.
Participate in interviewing potential students for Opportunity Bridge.
Assist VP of WFD with creating, training, and coaching of policies and procedures Maintain good relationships with all coworkers, Cherry Street Mission Ministries (CSMM) guests, donors, contractors, vendors, and volunteers Lead and participate in food preparation methods, options, portion sizes, garnishing, and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner.
Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standard is met, and in accordance with food-related policies and procedures Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, quantity, service, or accommodations Maintain food, supplies, and equipment inventories, and keep inventory records Order, schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity Ensure proper labeling and safe storage of food and supplies Conduct walk-throughs to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation protocol is being followed by all team members; perform cleaning and sanitation within protocol Coordinate events/caterings provided by the ministry, under the advisement of the event planner Coordinate with Lead Operations Technician for scheduling of food pickups and deliveries Participate in and lead other Kitchen staff and volunteers to ensure coolers and freezers are being kept in an organized and hazard free condition Follow ServSafe standards and company policies daily Work in collaboration with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure necessary volunteer scheduling for Kitchen prep and meal serving Work in collaboration with Operations Technicians, on food related donations, to determine acceptance or denial Lead team in keeping hot/cold/dish temp logs Respond to after hour emergencies as necessary Other duties as assigned *Essential Functions may be revised upon management discretion Cherry Street Core Values: At the ministry, we hold these core values to be crucial to performing everyday work.

Qualifications Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent required 4+ years of experience in food service required 2+ years of Leadership Experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all Knowledge of proper methods of storing food items Ability to plan and organize food preparation and serving operations Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions Works as an effective team member Proficient in basic computer skills(outlook, typing, Microsoft suite) Licenses, Certificates, and Other Requirements ServSafe Certification Valid Driver’s License Preferred Passing CSMM Forklift Certification within first 90 days of employment *As a condition of employment, each team member is required to agree to the Cherry Street Mission Ministries Statement of Faith.
