Job Summary The Facilities Designer 1 transfers information from Designers, Architects, Engineers, Project Engineers, and Project Leaders to create final drawings applying finished quality, appropriate symbols, and drafting standards.
The employee also checks for inconsistencies between drawings to insure proper matching and sequence.
This position prepares detail drawings where arrangements, dimensions, and tolerances are provided or have been established by previous similar designs.
This employee also supports field work to obtain accurate drawing information.
Essential Functions Works in a safe manner at all times.
Adheres to both Matrix and client established safety standards when appropriate.
Follows all Matrix Fundamentals.
Provide CADD generated drawings based on detailed design provided by an experienced project team member.
Assist in gathering field documentation.
Maintain CADD and blueprint files of project construction document package.
Follow company design standards Job Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an NAAB Accredited program.
Other Requirements (licenses, programs, certificates): 0-1 years CADD experience preferred May be in a Master's of Architecture program with Matrix co-op experience.
Travel Requirements Local travel or travel to alternate work sites may be required to support Matrix clients and projects Overnight travel may be required to support Matrix clients and projects Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
This employee may perform industrial field work which could include exposure to hazardous locations, inclement weather, moving mechanical parts, noise, ladders, uneven ground, and stairs.

The final salary will be determined based on various factors including candidate's experience and qualifications.
