SUMMARY
The Accounting Collections Administrator assists the Property Management and Accounting teams with the review and collection of accounts receivable.
The Accounting Collections Administrator ensures consistent quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop relationships with tenant contacts for assigned accounts receivable portfolio.
Research and resolve over payments, short-payments, unapplied payments, duplicate payments, open credits and other open deductions on tenant accounts providing documentation as needed.
Document tenant collection efforts, conversations with the tenant representative, track tenant receivables and assist in the collection efforts/calls of assigned accounts receivable portfolio.
Escalate disputes and billing discrepancies to the real estate management team or accounting department as needed.
Work with accounting department and real estate management team to ensure accuracy in property financial reporting requirements.
Assist in preparation of weekly delinquency reports.
Assist Real Estate Manager/Senior Real Estate Manager/Regional Manager in compiling monthly and quarterly reports.

Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounting and administrative work is preferred.
Experience in reading and interpreting real estate leases/contracts is preferred.
Real estate knowledge preferred.
Education: High school diploma or equivalency required.
Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
