*Job Summary*
The Aetna Care Manager Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to care managers and supervisors in the Aetna Program.
*Essential Job Functions*
* Completes general administrative and clerical duties such as linking, filing, distributing mail, organizing program participants’ charts, correspondence, reports, and other program documents, and assembling various records and manuals as assigned.
* Manages general telephone inquiries, and messages, and forwards calls to appropriate team members.
* Compiles reports and other information, data entry, and may manage statistical reports as necessary or assigned.
* Compiles, sorts, and organizes case records for the department.
* Retrieve records as requested from hospitals, home health agencies, PCPs, etc.
Maintains files and filing systems; reduces active record files as needed.
* Manages routine and non-routine mailings as requested by department team members.
Completes organization functions under leadership direction.
* Enters data into appropriate IT systems/software.
* Maintains and updates IT system data and reports as appropriate and as requested.
* Maintains confidentiality per AOoA policies.
* Maintain and comply with all AOoA employment practices and policies.
* Participates in mandatory meetings and trainings.
* Assists in telephone contacts with program participants, other agency team members, community organizations, and providers.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in human or social services, preferred; 2 years prior home health, medical office, or social service setting, preferred.
Excellent computer and data entry skills are necessary.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
The position requires communication and interaction with professionals and with the public.
Reliable transportation, insurance, valid driver’s license, the ability to satisfactorily undergo an FBI/BCI check and a Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR) on at least an annual basis.
