Description: Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for nearly 50 years.
We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio.
Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services.
Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care.
Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.
We are currently seeking a full-time RN to provide direct nursing services, including all duties listed.
The registered nurse is professionally accountable for carrying out the nursing process of problem identification, planning care, interventions, evaluation of client response, and revision of plan of care, as appropriate.
Shifts are 12 hours.
Essential Duties of this position include but are not limited to: Through client assessment and observations, continuously collects and evaluates data that is comprehensive, accurate, and systematic.
As part of the treatment team, develops an individualized treatment plan delineating specific actions and assumes responsibility for interventions.
Implements nursing actions that promote, maintain, or restore physical and mental health, prevent illness and effect rehabilitation.
Performs general health assessment, monitors health status and takes appropriate action to restore and maintain health within the scope of licensure.
Uses supportive counseling to assist client to regain or improve coping abilities.
Evaluates client responses to interventions in order to revise treatment plan.
Provides, structures, and maintains a therapeutic in collaboration with the client and coworkers.
Provides service in most appropriate setting based on client needs; may be called upon to provide services within the agency or in the field.
Works effectively and collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
Participates in the management of emergency, provides assistance to other staff in case of emergencies and takes appropriate and positive action to control clients who are dangerous to themselves and/or others.
Provides backup in other service areas as is appropriate.
Accurately documents service provision and billing information to assure reimbursement.
Fulfills all administrative tasks and requirements.
May supervises nursing students, LPNs, and paraprofessionals.
Assumes responsibility for meeting the needs of each and every client they come into contact with.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned New Graduates Welcome to apply! Requirements: Must have a current Ohio RN license in good standing.
Experience working with age and/or population pertinent to position.
At least 2 years or more of mental health or other related nursing experience.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license.
CPR and First Aid trained and crisis intervention (CPI) certified.
Must have the necessary skills and abilities required to comfortably and effectively working with patients, being responsive to their needs.
EOE/M/D/H/V May be eligible for a bonus if certain conditions apply, including not having worked in Community behavioral health in the last 30 days.
